Well, I got off my lazy ass and finally started recording again. you know, recording some actual stuff. I finished all the recording and mixing for one song, which is now uploaded. I need to re-record some parts of other songs, and double track them, but they should be up soon too
Oh, and btw, I suck ass at double tracking. It's not so bad during like the choruses and shit, but the verses and bridge are horrible. Listen, you'll hear it. Still, it's better than a single track. I actually did move it around a bit at the end to fix the horrible double tracking, but I'm way too fucking lazy to do that for the whole song. hell, just those 8 bars took me like..... less than 5 minutes. heh. Lazy little fucker I am.
I also planned to have this song in drop C, but again, I am one lazy fucker.
Update: Oh man, double tracking on the bridge is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad. just listened to it again. This song also seems to get really monotonous with the 4 palm muted notes before like every fucking bar, lol. Yeah, ain't my best work, but it was the quickest and easiest to record.

Alright, after attempting to record a second track for the other 2 songs I had recorded already, I gave up cause no matter what I did it sounded like shit. Double tracking ain't for me, at least until I learn how to record and mix properly. So what I did was copy the original track, make another track out of it and hard pan both tracks to opposite speakers. I know, it's not nearly as good as real double tracking, but it's better than nothing. So, yeah, I did that for both songs, untitled 02 and 03. The beginning parts of 03 were recorded with my old guitar, and the microphone was turned down so I had to boost the volume a lot, resulting in a shitload of noise. I tried to cut some of it down with the EQ, but it's still there. I did the same with 02. Believe me, there was a shitload more noise before I EQ'd it up. I also had some fun with EQs and effects on 03 (no, that wind like noise isn't an effect. wah + distortion. I barely put any effects on it in the mixing stage)

Well, I had nothing better to do today so I started recording. I wrote the new Untitled 04 about 2 or 3 days ago in like one day, but I kind of like it. It's simple. Untitled 05 on the other hand is quite a bit older. As for why they're in the unfinished pile, the recording frankly suck ass. I don't know why I couldn't get a good sounding recordingthis time around, I'm thinking the battery in my distortion pedal is too low. So, I need to re-record them eventually with my good amp, then I also don't have to use my metalzone, as good of a pedal it is. Also, I have a lead mini-solo part in the intro to untitled 04, but for some reason I couldn't play it. Like, I can play it perfectly fine and on the tab I made it works fine, but I couldn't seem to sync it up with the recording properly. As well, Untitled 05 is like, unfinished. First: I don't have a rhythm part for the "shredding" part towards the end, second: I planned on doing another set of that lead harmonized part (before the "tool" interlude) at a lower note, but I kind of forgot, heh. So, because it's unfinished, and the guitars already sound like shit, I didn't bother putting much work or polish into it, so parts where I recorded seperately jut in oddly without smooth changes, and I messed up a bunch of times. Also, I had never tried to lower part of the harmonized part, so I surprisingly couldn't play it correctly. I think it's because it's close to the nute, I'll have to see what I can do, but yeah, the harmonized part is off quite a bit. Still, even with both of these sounding like shit and being unfinished, it gives people an idea of what I'm doing, so I mixed it down and put it up here anyways.
Oh, yeah, and there were also 3 other songs that I planned on recording, but I forgot about one of them, and the other 2 are kind of unfinished. Well, one of those 2 is finished, but not very polished, and I was tired of recording anyways. Plus, that one thats finished is a long and arduous song, with loooooooooooots of double tracking, due to harmonization. So, yeah
